- To begin with, applicants must be Indian citizens or fall under certain eligible categories like subjects of Nepal/Bhutan or Tibetan refugees who settled in India before January 1, 1962.
- Candidates must hold a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university on or before 21st July 2025.
- The minimum age limit is 20 years, and the maximum is 30 years, calculated as of 1st July 2025. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories.

IBPS PO Calculation Percentage
While applying for IBPS PO 2026, candidates must calculate their graduation percentage carefully as per the official guidelines. The percentage should be calculated by taking the total marks obtained in all subjects across all semesters or years (including optional or additional subjects) and dividing it by the aggregate maximum marks, then multiplying the result by 100.
If the university awards marks in CGPA or OGPA, candidates must convert it into percentage using the official conversion formula provided by their institution. This conversion proof must be presented during the interview or document verification. It's important to note that any fraction in percentage will be ignored — for instance, 59.99% will be considered less than 60%. Therefore, ensure accuracy while entering marks to avoid disqualification.
IBPS PO Credit History
Candidates selected for IBPS PO 2026 should have a good credit history at the time of joining the bank. Banks may check your CIBIL score or credit record as per their rules. If there are any issues or negative remarks in your credit report, you must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the concerned bank or institution. Not meeting this condition can lead to cancellation of the job offer. However, this rule does not apply while filling the application form and is also not required for candidates who do not have any bank account

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the IBPS PO Provisional Allotment List for the cycle of 2025 on the official website for the recruitment of Probationary Officers/Management Trainees across 11 public sector banks. While applying for IBPS PO 2026, candidates must calculate their graduation percentage based on the following criteria.
- The percentage will be calculated by dividing the total marks obtained in all subjects across all semesters/years by the aggregate maximum marks (including optional/honours subjects), then multiplying by 100.
- If your university uses a Grade Point System (CGPA/OGPA), you must convert it into a percentage as per your institute’s official conversion formula.
- You must provide valid documentary proof of the conversion method during the interview/document verification.
- Note: Any fraction in percentage will be ignored—e.g., 59.99% will be treated as less than 60%, and 54.99% as less than 55%

IBPS PO Interview Process
Candidates who qualify the IBPS PO Mains Exam are called for the Interview Process conducted by IBPS. The interview carries 100 marks, and candidates must score a minimum of 40% marks to qualify while the qualifying marks for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates are relaxed to 35%.
Final Selection
The final selection of candidates for the post of Probationary Officer is based on the combined performance in the Mains Exam and Interview. The weightage ratio for Mains and Interview is 80:20 respectively. After the interview process IBPS prepares a final merit list & selected candidates are allotted banks based on the rank and preferences.
