Age Limit

Candidates who wish to take the exam must be between 18 years to 40 years. Candidates who do not meet the age requirements will be denied the opportunity to take the exam. There is currently no information on age limit relaxations. Stay tuned to this page for any updates on the same.

Educational Qualifications

Before applying for the exam, candidates must meet the UPSSSC Cartographer eligibility for educational qualification criteria. The candidate should have completed graduation from a recognized university/institute along with the following other requirements:

  • It is necessary to have passed the High School examination of the Council of Secondary Education, Uttar Pradesh or any other examination recognized equivalent to it by the Government.
  • Must possess any one of the following qualifications:

Certificate in Cartography from Roorkee University,

Cartography by the State Council of Technical Education, Uttar Pradesh Certificate awarded, 

Three years certificate in cartography from Banaras Hindu University,

Three years Diploma in Architectural Assistantship awarded by the Government Art College, Lucknow;

Three years Diploma in Civil Engineering awarded by the State Council for Technical Education, Uttar Pradesh,

Diploma in Civil Engineering awarded by any other institution recognized by the Government.

Ministry of Labor and Employment; Certificate in Cartography granted by the National Council of Vocational Training, run entirely by the Labor Department, to the trainees of the Industrial Training Institute, Government of India,

Two and a half years certificate in Cartography from Aligarh University.

Preferential Qualification: According to Part-4 Rule-9 of Uttar Pradesh Agriculture Department Drawing Establishment Service Rules, 2000, other conditions being equal, preference will be given to such a candidate who:

  • Must have served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of 02 years,

or

  • Must have obtained B certificate of National Cadet Corps.

Nationality

According to the guidelines, an applicant must be a citizen of India in order to be eligible for the Recruitment process 2025.

Number of Attempts

There is no limit to the number of attempts a candidate may make for the UPSSSC Cartographer exam according to the guidelines and instructions.
