The SBI Probationary Officer 2026 Exam is held in various rounds. The Prelims Exam will be conducted for 100 objective type questions, whereas in the Mains round there will be objective and descriptive tests with high-level questions. The SBI PO Mains Exam 2026 is conducted for candidates who successfully qualify the Preliminary Exams. The exam consists of both objective-type & descriptive questions made to test candidates’ analytical ability, banking awareness, reasoning skills & written communication as given in the SBI PO Exam Pattern. The descriptive test is conducted as part of the Mains Examination to test English writing skills and communication ability. Selection has three phases: Preliminary examination, Main examination with objective and descriptive components, and Phase-III consisting of psychometric test, group exercise and interview. Objective tests carry one-fourth penalty for wrong answers.
