The Territorial Army exam pattern helps candidates clearly understand the structure of the written test. The exam consists of 3 parts - Reasoning, English and General Knowledge. Candidates will be given 2 hours to complete the entire test.

Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply for the exam. Candidates must hold Indian nationality to participate in the recruitment process. Applicants from any other country or neighboring nations are not allowed to apply for the Territorial Army Officer post.

The Territorial Army (TA) is not a full-time job but a part-time opportunity designed for citizens who are already engaged in civilian professions. It allows individuals to serve the nation while continuing their regular employment.

• The candidate must be gainfully employed in a civil profession to be eligible.
• This includes employees working in Central Government, State Government, Union Territory offices, Semi-Government organizations, or the private sector.
• Self-employed candidates, such as business owners or professionals, are also eligible to apply.
• A No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the employer is mandatory to ensure participation in training and duties.
• The candidate’s civil job should not interfere with military training, including annual camps.
• Serving members of the Regular Army, Navy, Air Force, Police, GREF, Paramilitary forces, and similar services are not eligible.
