The Railway TTE full form is Travelling Ticket Examiner (TTE). Now you all must have traveled on a train with a reserved ticket. During your journey, you must have seen a person in a white shirt, black pants, and a black coat coming up to you to check and mark your presence on the sheet that he has in his hand. That person is a TTE.

A Train TTE Full Form is not only responsible for checking the tickets of the onboarded passengers of the train but also has a responsibility for the safety and security of the passengers. If any passenger faces any issue, then its also the duty of a TTE to provide the needful assistance in whichever way possible.

A total of 11500+ vacancies are expected to be released for Railway TTE Recruitment 2026. Candidates will get recruited across 16 Railway Zones across the country. The details of the category-wise and zone-wise Railway TTE vacancy distribution will be updated once the official notification is released.

Before you start filling out the application form, carefully review the guidelines provided in the CEN. Ensure you understand all requirements and eligibility criteria.

If you meet the eligibility criteria, proceed by selecting the “Apply Online” button. This will direct you to the registration section.

Complete the form by entering your name, date of birth, parents names, email, and any other requested information. Double-check for accuracy.

After submitting your details, your unique Registration ID and Password will be displayed on the screen. Note them down or save them for future logins.

Log in using the Registration ID and Password to access the application form. This will allow you to continue with the application process.

Upload your photograph, signature, and other necessary documents in the required format. Then, make the payment through your preferred payment method. You can use the Testbook Resize Tool to upload the application documents in the required format..

The CBE is the first stage of the selection process for the post of Railway TTE. It is an online objective-type exam consisting of questions from General Awareness, Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning. It is conducted for 200 marks in 2 hours. Only the candidates who clear this exam are shortlisted for the next stage.

DV is the second stage where the documents of the shortlisted candidates are verified. Candidates need to carry original documents like admit card, photo identity proof, educational certificates, experience certificates etc. for verification. Their certificates are thoroughly checked and verified during this stage. Candidates who clear this stage are eligible for the next one. The following documents will be required for the DV round.

• Railway TTE Admit Card
• Photo ID proof
• Educational Certificates, including mark sheets and certificates for grades 10 through 12 as well as graduation and post-graduate degrees
• Experience Certificates
• Passport-size photographs

In this final stage, shortlisted candidates need to go through a medical examination. The medical test aims to check the physical and visual fitness of the candidates as per the standards prescribed by RRB. Candidates need to meet the set medical standards to be finally selected for the post of Railway TTE. Only medically fit candidates are recruited for this post.

The official notification regarding the Railway TTE syllabus is yet to be released by the railway recruiting board. As per the previous year pattern, the Railway TTE syllabus 2026 will include subjects like General Awareness, Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning.

• The questions will assess candidates knowledge of current affairs, history, geography, economy and questions related to the railway working.
• For mathematics, questions will be asked from number systems, ratio and proportion, time and work, averages, profit and loss etc.
• The reasoning section will have puzzles, data sufficiency, alphanumeric and numeric series, coding-decoding etc.
• General Intelligence will include questions to test candidates problem solving skills and analytical abilities.

The official syllabus will remain broadly the same unless notified otherwise by RRB.

The Railway TTE Salary 2026 includes basic pay and several government allowances. As per the 7th Pay Commission, a Railway TTE is placed under Pay Level-2. After joining, the employee receives basic pay along with Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, and Transport Allowance. The monthly salary depends on the city of posting and applicable benefits.
