For the PSSSB Steno Typist 2026 recruitment, candidates must be Indian citizens and have completed a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university. They should have studied Punjabi up to the 10th grade and must know shorthand and basic computer skills. The usual age limit is between 18 and 37 years. However, candidates belonging to reserved categories, ex-servicemen, or persons with disabilities may get extra age relaxation according to government rules.

(iii) Possesses at least 120 hours course with hands-on experience in Personal Computer or Information Technology OR Computer information Technology Course equivalent to ’O’ level certificate.

(iv) Also requires passing a Matriculation examination with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective subjects.

Candidates belonging to reserved categories, ex‑servicemen, persons with disabilities and government employees are eligible for age relaxation as per rules.
