OPTCL JMOT Exam Details 2026

The commission will hire the selected candidates after completing the one-year training period for the post of Junior Maintenance & Operator Trainee. These candidates will be paid on the pay matrix of INR 1,20,000/-.

Along with the basic pay, the candidates will not get any other allowance from the Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited. The commission will only pay the TA/DA if the Junior Maintenance & Operator Trainee goes on some official tour.

The Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited gives the salary slip to the Junior Maintenance & Operator Trainees with the complete information about the income and deductions. The employees can use their salary slips for loans or some personal purposes.

The Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited does not offer any allowance and additional benefits to the Junior Maintenance & Operator Trainees. The employees will only get the OPTCL JMOT salary. The only added benefit to the post of JMOT is as follows,

• TA/ DA - As per the rule of the corporation, the employee will get this allowance for the official trips.

The candidates for the Junior Maintenance & Operator Trainee post have to complete the probation period of one year successfully. During this period, the candidates will undergo technical training at various units of OPTCL including Induction-cum-Orientation training at Power Training Centre (PTC), Chandaka, Bhubaneswar. T

he employees will also receive their monthly stipend of Rs.11,500 during the probation period. However, the commission can extend your training period for more than a year, if you did not perform up to the mark. Only those candidates will be appointed for the JMOT post for five years, who complete the probation period.

The candidates who qualify for the OPTCL JMOT exam will be allowed to appear for the one-year probation period. During the probation period, the candidates will get the opportunity to grow their technical knowledge.
