The candidates who have been selected for the Trained Graduate Teacher positions are provided with allowances and benefits in addition to their fixed salary. The allowances that the DSSSB employees are entitled to are:

  • Residential Quarters or HRA (which is 27% of the basic pay) - This depends upon whether the employee takes up the quarters provided or arranges his/her own accommodation. For DSSSB TGT HRA is Rs. 12123.
  • Dearness Allowance (DA), which is 50% of the basic pay. For DSSSB TGT DA is Rs. 22450.
  • Transport Allowance (TA), which is fixed at Rs.3,600 per month, for both groups.
  • Dearness Allowance (DA) on the Travel Allowance (TA), which is 9% on the TA.
  • Maternity Leave, of at least 6 months to Women.
  • Medical Allowances, to assist in the medical expenses of the employee.

Note: After computing the allowances provided, the gross monthly pay stands at ₹63,641. However, the deductions due to income tax and NPS reduce this gross monthly pay.

DSSSB TGT Nationality

The candidates applying for DSSSB TGT must adhere to the nationality criteria. Only candidates who are Indian nationals can appear for the exam.
