CISF Head Constable Exam Details 2026

The CISF Head Constable Written Exam will be conducted either in an OMR format or can also be Computer Based. The total number of questions will be 100 and there will be one mark each question. Hence the total marks for this exam will be 100.

As per the CISF Head Constable Exam Pattern, the questions asked in the written examination will be asked from subjects like General Knowledge, General Intelligence, Arithmetic and General English/ Hindi. There is no specific weightage followed for this exam. The questions will be asked in the two languages i.e. English and Hindi. The total duration of this examination will be 1 hour 40 minutes.

The CISF Head Constable Selection Process consists of a few stages which are Physical Standard Test/ Documentation, OMR/ Computer Based Test, Skill Test, and Medical Examination. The CISF Head Constable Exam Pattern of the written test will be an OMR/ Computer-based test. Candidates who attend the CISF Head Constable written exam should keep in mind that they are required to score the category-wise minimum qualifying marks. • The CISF Head Constable Exam will be an objective type of question examination.
• It will consist of 4 different sections (General Intelligence, General Knowledge, Arithmetic, General English/ Hindi).
• The examination will be conducted in both English and Hindu languages.
• The total marks of the exam will be 100 marks with 100 questions.
• 25 marks will be carried out by each section, in which every question will be of 1 mark.
• There will be no negative marking in the written examination.
• Candidates need to note that, in section 4 (General English/ Hindi), they need to choose only one language and have to complete the section in that given language.
• The qualifying marks in the written examination for General Category is 35% and SC/ ST/ OBC category is 33%.

The Physical Standards Test will be one of the stages of the selection process as per the CISF Head Constable Exam Pattern. In this stage, candidates will have to meet all the required measurements as prescribed by the CISF board. Only if the candidates are able to do so will they be considered eligible and be able to attend the next stage of the selection process in the CISF Head Constable Recruitment. The in-hand salary received by the CISF Head Constable will be a sum amount between INR 25,500/ to INR 81,100/-. Candidates would also receive the additional benefits which are listed above.
