The first stage of the selection process is an Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) written examination, totaling 200 marks and lasting for 2 hours. This examination is common for all post codes. The test is divided into four sections carrying 50 marks. Candidates must perform well across all sections to secure a good overall score.

The Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST) are mandatory for candidates applying for the post of Forester. These tests assess the physical fitness and endurance of candidates. The PET usually includes activities like running, long jump, and high jump, while the PST measures physical standards such as height, chest, and weight.
