The selection process for **APPSC Group 1** is conducted in the following stages:\n1. **Written Online Examination (CBT)**: Qualifying objective test.\n2. **Skill Test / Physical Test**: (For specific posts like Clerk or Constable).\n3. **Document Verification**: Detailed check of academic qualifications and category certificates.\n4. **Medical Fitness Test**: Standard government medical examination.

The recruitment written exam covers:\n- **General Intelligence & Reasoning**: Verbal and non-verbal reasoning, series, coding-decoding, puzzles.\n- **Quantitative Aptitude**: Arithmetic, algebra, geometry, data interpretation.\n- **General English**: Vocabulary, grammar, reading comprehension, error spotting.\n- **General Awareness**: Current affairs, Indian history, geography, polity, and general science.

Candidates will also be tested for their eyesight in accordance with the rules mentioned by the government. The eyesight is a major part of the APPSC Group 1 eligibility and the candidates need to fulfill it to be allowed to appear for the examination.

• Each eye must possess a full field of vision when tested by any movements.
• Candidates suffering from Squint or any morbid condition of the eyes or of the eyelids of either eye have a risk of getting rejected.
• A separate examination of each eye is conducted and candidates have to keep both eyes wide open, during this test.
• If the candidates are unable to distinguish the principal colors, they will not be subjected to rejection but will be noted and the candidates will be informed of the same.
