AP DSC SGT Educational Qualification
In order to apply a candidates should have the following educational qualifications.
- Possession of an Intermediate Certificate from the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh, or an equivalent certificate recognized by the Board of Intermediate Education, Govt. of A.P.
- Completion of a two-year Diploma in Education (D.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed), with certification from the Director of Government Examinations, Andhra Pradesh, or an equivalent certificate recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).
- Alternatively, candidates can have a Graduation degree with a minimum of 50% marks and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) qualification.
Note 1: Candidates with a Bachelor of Education degree from any NCTE recognized institution can be considered for the SGT position, but they must undergo a six-month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE within two years of their appointment as Secondary Grade Teachers.
Note 2: Direct Degree holders along with a two-year Diploma in Education (D.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) are also eligible for the SGT position.
