SSC CPO Qualification
The applicants must have the following educational qualifications, as specified under the SSC CPO SI eligibility, to be considered for selection to this post
- Educational Qualification for all posts is a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or equivalent.
- The programs in Engineering, Medicine, Dental, Nursing, Pharmacy, Architecture, and Physiotherapy, etc are not permitted to be offered under Open and Distance Learning mode.
- Candidates who have not acquired the educational qualification will not be eligible and need not apply.
- For the post of Sub Inspector in Delhi Police (only) - Male candidates must possess a valid Driving License for LMV (Motorcycle and Car) as on the date fixed for Physical Endurance and Standard Tests. Otherwise, they will not be allowed to undergo Physical Endurance and Standard Tests.

Nationality for SSC CPO Eligibility
To participate in the SSC CPO candidates have nationality proof like an Adhar card, Voter ID.To fulfil the SSC CPO SI eligibility in terms of nationality, a andidate must be either:
- A citizen of India
- A subject of Nepal
- A subject of Bhutan
- A Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India,
- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam to permanently settle in India.
- A candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

SSC CPO Physical Endurance Test (PET)
The Physical Endurance Test (PET) is an important stage in the SSC CPO selection process. It is conducted to check a candidate’s physical fitness and ability to handle the demands of the job. Only those who qualify in Paper 1 are called for the PET. The test includes tasks like running, long jump, and high jump, which vary slightly for male and female candidates.

SSC CPO Reasoning Syllabus

SSC CPO Tier 2 Exam Pattern 2026
SSC CPO Tier 2 is the third stage and is conducted after candidates qualify for the Physical Tests. It is an objective computer-based examination that evaluates a candidate’s proficiency in English language and comprehension. This stage tests grammar, vocabulary, reading ability, and overall command of English, which are essential for effective communication in police and paramilitary services.

SSC CPO Tier 2 Syllabus
English Language and Comprehension skills is the only topic on the SSC CPO Tier 2 syllabus. SSC CPO Physical Test 2026
Candidates who qualify Paper 1 and Paper 2 are called to appear for the SSC CPO Physical test. As per the Physical Test pattern, the evaluation will be conducted in two parts: Physical Efficiency Test and Physical Standard Test. The physical measurements are different for male and female candidates. Both the PET and PST are qualifying in nature, meaning that its performance wouldn’t be counted in the final merit. SSC CPO Medical Test 2026
After clearing the CPO Tier 1, Tier 2 and Physical Tests, selected candidates will be called to appear for the SSC CPO Medical Examination. The medical test is mandatory and is conducted to ensure that candidates are medically fit for service in Delhi Police and CAPFs. Check the medical standards requirements below.
SSC CPO Eye Sight Requirements (Visual Standards)
In order to qualify the Medical Test round, candidates must meet the following eye sight requirements:
