SSC CHSL Disabilities Allowed
Persons with benchmark disabilities shall be allowed compensatory time @ 20 minutes per hour of exam. The facility of scribe will also be provided to such candidates, subject to certain conditions. At the time of document verification, candidates need to provide the following documents –
- Matriculation/10th class passing certificate.

- For the reserved category candidates their caste/category certificate will be needed for verification.

SSC CHSL Disqualification or Debarment
Candidates applying for SSC CHSL 2026 should note that certain actions could lead to disqualification, debarment or legal action. Any individual involved in using unfair means or impersonation during the exam will not be considered for selection. If any documents or certificates provided are found to be fake or forged, the candidate's candidature will be canceled. Similarly, any candidate working in government service who has been terminated due to reasons of indiscipline or integrity will be declared ineligible for this recruitment cycle. Which is the Highest Paid Post in SSC CHSL 2026?

SSC CHSL Tier 2 Exam Pattern
The SSC CHSL Tier 2 Exam Pattern 2026 is designed to check the analytical, language and computer skills of the candidates. The Tier-II exam will be conducted in two sessions — Session I and Session II. Both the exams will be conducted on the same day.
- Session I will include Section I, Section II and Module I of Section III while Session II will comprise Module II of Section III, which is the Skill Test/Typing Test.
- It is compulsory for candidates to qualify in all sections of Tier II to move forward in the selection process.
- The paper will include objective-type multiple-choice questions except for Module II of Section III which evaluates candidates through practical performance.
- Questions will be available in both English and Hindi, except for the English Language and Comprehension module under Section II.
- There will be a negative marking of 1 mark for every incorrect answer in Section I, Section II and Module I of Section III.
- The Computer Knowledge Test (Module I of Section III) is mandatory but only qualifying in nature.
- The Skill Test/Typing Test (Module II of Section III) will also be qualifying in nature, where candidates must demonstrate the required CHSL typing speed (35 w.p.m. in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi) as per the SSC CHSL Tier 2 exam pattern.

Exam Pattern for SSC CHSL Skill Test for the post of DEO/ DEO Grade 'A’:
A typing speed of 15,000 key depressions per hour on the computer will be evaluated based on the accuracy of key entries made from the given passage. The test duration is 15 minutes during which candidates will be provided with printed text in English containing approximately 3,700–4,000 key depressions. The passage may also be displayed on the computer screen for candidates to type directly.
Skill Test for the post of DEO/ DEO Grade 'A’ except in Department/ Ministry
A data entry speed of 8,000 key depressions per hour on the computer is required for this test. The duration of the test is 15 minutes, during which candidates will be provided with printed material in English containing around 2,000–2,200 key depressions. The passage may also be displayed on the computer screen for candidates to type directly.
Exam Pattern for SSC CHSL Typing Test for LDC/JSA & Other Posts
The SSC CHSL Typing Test can be taken in either Hindi or English. Candidates must choose their preferred language for the Typing Test while filling out the online application form. This choice will be final and no request for a change in medium will be accepted later.
Candidates opting for the English medium must have a typing speed of 35 words per minute (w.p.m.), while those choosing the Hindi medium must type at 30 words per minute (w.p.m.). These speeds are equivalent to about 10,500 key depressions per hour for English and 9,000 key depressions per hour for Hindi. CHSL Typing speed and accuracy will be evaluated based on the correct entry of a given text passage typed on the computer within 10 minutes.

Module I [Section I]: Mathematical Abilities
- Number Systems: Computation of whole numbers, decimals, fractions, relationship between numbers, fundamental arithmetical operations
- Arithmetic: Percentages, ratio and proportion, square roots, averages, simple and compound interest, profit and loss, discount, partnership business, mixture and allegation, time and distance, time and work
- Algebra: Basic algebraic identities, elementary surds, graphs of linear equations
- Geometry: Triangle and its centres, congruence and similarity of triangles, circle and its chords, tangents, angles subtended by chords, common tangents

SSC CHSL Tier III Skill Test
As per the SSC Syllabus 2026, the SSC CHSL 2026 Skill Test for DEO/DEO Grade A is a qualifying Data Entry Speed Test conducted on a computer to assess candidates’ typing speed and accuracy. For candidates in specific Departments or Ministries such as C&AG, Consumer Affairs, and Culture, the requirement is 15,000 key depressions per hour using an English passage of 3,700–4,000 key depressions within 15 minutes. For other Departments, the standard is 8,000 key depressions per hour with a 2,000–2,200 key-depression passage. Scribe-eligible candidates are allowed 5 extra minutes, making the total duration 20 minutes.

The Staff Selection Commission has started introducing sectional timing in exams like Selection Post, Stenographer, and JHT from 2026. In this system, each section must be completed within a fixed time which may be of 15 minutes. Candidates cannot switch between sections. While it is not officially announced for the SSC CHSL Exam yet, there is a possibility it may be applied. Candidates should practice accordingly to get used to the time bounded exam.
