SSB SI Exam Details 2026

As per the present guidelines, the annual SSB SI Salary Package on average is to be as follows:

• SSB SI Annual Package: INR 4,24,800 to INR 13,48,800
• Candidates selected as SSB Sub-Inspectors will start receiving the allowances only after the completion of the training period.

After the candidates get hired as full-time employees, they are entitled to receive certain allowances other than the basic salary. Like other government employees, SSB SI’s will be eligible for allowances like Dearness Allowance, Travel Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Education Allowance, and others.

The employees working as SSB Sub Inspectors will be paid according to the prevailing pay scale, along with allowances after their absorption into the company as full-time employees.

• SSB SI Pay Scale: INR 35,400 to INR 1,12,400.

As per the official SSB Sub Inspector Recruitment Notification Recruitment 2021, the training period for the candidates was 11 weeks. So, it is expected that the training period for the candidates of the 2025 cycle will be similar to that of 2021. The employees must undergo the recommended training during this period and will only be paid a basic salary.

• The candidate must be a Citizen of India for the post of SI Female Staff Nurse/ Pioneer.
• Citizens of India, Bhutan, and Nepal can also apply for the post of SI Communication/ Draughtsman.
• The candidates should make sure that they have all the important documents issued by the government to establish their nationality.

As per the official recruitment notification, experience is not a requirement for this post. So, candidates who do not have any experience can also apply if they meet other eligibility guidelines.
