SBI Clerk Probation Period 2026
Candidates selected for the SBI Clerk Job Profile 2026 will follow the bank’s Service Regulations at the time of joining. New Junior Associates must complete a probation period of at least 6 months. During this time, they are required to finish mandatory e-lessons and training modules set by the bank to confirm their appointment.
If a candidate does not complete the e-lessons within the probation period, it may be extended until completion. The bank will also review overall performance, and if it does not meet expectations, the probation period can be further extended.
SBI Clerk Salary Slip 2026
This is a salary slip from State Bank of India showing your pay as a Junior Associate on probation. Your total earnings for the month are ₹43,180, which include basic salary, dearness allowance, special allowance, house rent allowance, special pay, and transport allowance. SBI Clerk Mains Exam Pattern 2025
The candidates have to qualify for the SBI Preliminary examination to appear for stage 2, which is the mains examination. SBI Clerk Mains Exam Pattern 2025 will consist of the four main sections namely- General English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude, and General/Financial Awareness. - The total number of questions asked in the SBI Clerk Mains exam 2025 is 190.
- The total marks for the Mains examination are 200 marks.
- Each section will have separate timing.
- Marks deducted for every wrong answer is ¼.
- The mode of the SBI Clerk Mains exam 2025 will be online mode.
- The duration of the examination is 160 minutes.
- Candidates need to secure a minimum qualifying percentage on aggregate marks to qualify for this stage. Candidates belonging to the reserved category such as SC/ST/OBC/PWD/XS will get a 5% relaxation on the same.
- Based on the marks obtained, SBI will publish the list of successful candidates who will be provided with the appointment letter and they will be placed according to their rank and preferences.
- Candidates are required to score minimum percentage marks on aggregate (For SC/ST/OBC/PWD/XS candidates, 5% relaxation available there on). Minimum qualifying marks on aggregate will be decided by the bank.
- No minimum qualifying marks for individual subjects are prescribed.
- Merit list will be drawn State wise, category wise. Candidates qualified in the test (main examination) will be placed according to their aggregate marks in descending order in respective States and Categories.

Language Proficiency Test/Local Language Proficiency Test
This stage is mandatory for those who are qualified for selection but could not provide evidence in the local language, have to appear for an SBI Clerk Local Language Proficiency Test before joining for the post, failing in this test will make them ineligible for the post. This stage is not compulsory for those who have qualified the SBI Clerk 2025 examination and can produce mark sheets and certificates for showing the evidence of having studied the specified opted local language in their 10th or 12th standard.

Final Selection for SBI Clerk Exam 2025
After clearing all the steps mentioned above, SBI will declare the final cutoff based on the vacancy of that particular year. The marks obtained in the SBI Clerk Prelims exam will not be considered for preparing the SBI Clerk final selection list 2025, only marks obtained in the mains examination will be considered. The SBI Clerk final merit list 2025 will be published on the official website and all the successful candidates will be provided with the Appointment Letter.

- The SBI Clerk final selection 2025 will depend on passing the verification process of eligibility for the post and the information furnished while filling up the online application form.
- Candidates need to qualify for the SBI Clerk Local Language Proficiency Test, if applicable.
- SBI will also publish a state and category wise waiting list for up to 50% of vacancies. The SBI Clerk waiting list 2025 will be used in case of non-joining and resignation out of candidates from the current batch.
- Candidates on the SBI Clerk waiting list 2025 need to score minimum qualifying marks, decided by the exam conducting body.
