According to the pay scale of the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), the pay scale of a grade pay ₹4600 corresponds to the Pay Matrix Level 7. With the grade pay, the candidate is entitled to receive a reasonable basic pay as well as allowances such as DA, HRA, and TA. The in-hand salary of NVS Teaching Staff includes the basic pay with various allowances given by the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, like Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Travel Allowance (TA). However, it also includes deductions like Provident Fund (PF), professional tax, and applicable income tax. The exact in-hand salary for each post will be calculated on these lines and will be clearly mentioned to the recruits in their official salary slips, so that the payment structure is transparent and clear.

The NVS salary slip is an important document provided to the employees every month, showing them their earnings and deductions.
