NABARD Development Assistant Exam Details 2026

The pay scale of an NABARD Development Assistant has been revised. Selected candidates receive a starting basic pay of ₹23,100 per month, including two advance increments. Along with allowances such as DA, HRA, Transport Allowance, and other benefits, the monthly gross salary is approximately ₹46,500, depending on the place of posting. This updated structure offers better pay growth and career stability.

1: Reimbursements : Depending on the eligibility of the employees, such as work experience and location of posting, the employees can avail of certain benefits. 2: Dispensary Facilities: The eligible employees are also able to receive dispensary facilities like medical expenses for the OPD treatment, assistance regarding hospitalization, etc.

3: Loans and Advances: Loans and advances are granted to the employees at concessional interest rates for the purposes of housing, education, car, consumer goods, etc.

4: House Rent Allowances: Based on the location of posting, the employees are provided with the House Rent Allowances to cope with the residential costs in an urban area. After the 7th Pay commission, the HRA is calculated on the basis of the location, the particular employee is posted in.

5: City Compensatory Allowance: Similar to that of the HRA, the City Compensatory Allowance is location based. It is granted to the employees who are posted in the Metropolitan cities to cope with the cost of living in the posh areas.

After the selection process of the NABARD Development Assistant recruitment, the candidates need to undergo a probation period for 6 months. According to the NABARD Development Assistant Eligibility requirements specified in the official notification, the educational qualification for Development Assistant and Development Assistant (Hindi) are different. The post-wise qualifications are given below.

• To be eligible for the selection process for the post of Development Assistant, the applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks and pass class for the SC/ST candidates from a recognized university or institute or,
• The candidate must hold an equivalent degree from a recognized institute, duly approved by the UGC.

• The candidate must be a graduate from a recognized university or hold an equivalent qualification similar to that of the Development Assistant post. They must be graduates in Hindi/English medium with Hindi/English as one of the compulsory or elective subjects during graduation with 50% marks (pass class for SC/ST candidates) or,
• Bachelor’s Degree with Hindi/English as the main subjects from a recognized university with at least 505 marks.
• They must be efficient in translating from English to Hindi and vice versa.

1: All degrees must be secured from a recognized institution/University incorporated by the Act of Central or State legislature, established by an Act of Parliament, or declared to be deemed as a recognized university under section 3 of UGC act of 1956.

2: Some universities do not prefer awarding classes or percentage and provide aggregate grade points as CGPA etc. In case the universities define the Grade points in terms of class/percentage, that will be acceptable. In case, they are not defining the same, the following parameters will be taken to consideration.

The candidates must be citizens of India to be eligible for the NABARD Development Assistant recruitment examination. They must produce supportive documents for verification proof, being citizens of India, during the stage of document verification.

There is no mention as such regarding the number of attempts for the NABARD Assistant Development post. As long as the candidates meet the given guidelines and the prescribed age limit, they can choose to apply for the post.
