MPPSC AE Exam Details 2026

Candidates posted as an Assistant Engineer in any department under this MPPSC recruitment after completing the Probation Period are expected to draw an annual package of around INR 7.5 Lakhs to INR 8 Lakhs.  The MPPSC Assistant Engineer is currently eligible for a Grade Pay of Rs. 5400/-.

All the candidates who secure a position in the Merit list will be eligible for the Final Selection and will be paid by the Commission as per the rules/regulations laid by the authority from time to time. The monthly in-hand salary of the MPPSC AE with the Pay Scale of Rs. 15600/- to Rs. 39100/- It is expected that the salary for the upcoming cycle will be in the same range.

The 2026 MPPSC AE eligibility criteria which will be released by the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission in their official hiring announcement is pivotal to the selection process. Its vital to understand that if upon review, a candidate fails to meet these criteria for the MPPSC AE exam, that candidate will not be allowed to participate in the exam.

Please Note- The maximum age limit to apply for the post of Assistant Engineer even after relaxation will not be more than 45 years.

As per the previous MPPSC AE eligibility for qualifications, candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from a recognized university or institute. The degree should be in the relevant branch of engineering such as Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Agriculture Engineering, as mentioned in the official notification.

It is important to note that the degree must be completed before the last date of application. Candidates who do not have the required qualification or cannot produce valid proof during verification will not be considered for the recruitment process.

Only citizens of India are eligible to apply for the MPPSC AE recruitment 2026. At the time of document verification, candidates will have to provide valid proof of their nationality. In addition, candidates belonging to Madhya Pradesh and holding a valid domicile certificate of the state may be eligible for certain reservation benefits and age relaxations as per government rules.
