Age Limit
The maximum age to be eligible for applying for the KVS TGT post is 35 years. Category-wise age relaxation will also be provided to the candidates. Category-wise age relaxation has been listed below:
- Candidates belonging to SC / ST Category – 5 Years
- Candidates belonging to OBC Category – 3 Years
- Women Candidates – 10 Years

Educational Qualification
The KVS TGT computer teacher eligibility for academic qualification is listed below:
- Candidates must complete 4 Years Integrated Degree courses with 50% marks from Regional College of Education of NCERT OR Bachelor Degree (with 50% marks) in relevant subjects.
- Candidates must complete B.ED Degree
- Passed the CTET Paper II with B.ED Degree.
- Computer Knowledge and Diploma in relevant subjects.

Nationality
The KVS TGT Eligibility Criteria for the Indian Nationals are as mentioned below:
- The candidate must be a citizen of India.
- A subject of Nepal, Bhutan.
- A Tibetian refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 intending to permanently settle in India.
- Migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam to permanently settle in India.

KVS Recruitment Exam Pattern 2026
Candidates have to go through a 2-tier selection process. Applicants need to prepare well, as many people apply for this post. To prepare well, it is important for them to have a good understanding of the KVS exam pattern. It will help them to score better and prepare for the section. - There will be 3 rounds of the Skill Test as well - Shorthand Test, Typing Test, and Computer Proficiency Test.
- The Computer Proficiency Test will be conducted for 100 marks.
- Skill test is qualifying in nature, and candidates have to obtain a minimum of 40% marks in the Computer Proficiency Test, and also qualify the shorthand and typing test taken together
