The KSET Exam Date is announced along with the official notification. Candidates must keep a tab of the exam dates and plan their preparation accordingly. The KSET exam date 2025 was scheduled for 2nd November, covering 33 subjects across various exam centers in Karnataka. The exam dates are listed below.

The last date of application for KSET Examination 2025 has been extended. The last date of application for the examination is now 24th September 2025. Earlier the application last date was 18th September 2025.  The candidates can take advantage of the extension and apply online.

The KSET Application Form must be submitted online. The steps to fill out the application have been explained below. Make sure to submit the application forms before the deadline specified by the authorities.

Visit the KSET official website and there you will find out the link to apply online. Click on "New registration. Register yourself by entering the required details.

Login using the credentials provided after registration. Carefully fill out the KSET Application Form.

Upload the photograph and signature and click on next to proceed for the payment screen.

Select the appropriate mode of payment and pay the application fee. Submit the form and print the submitted application form along with the fee receipt for future uses.

To complete the KSET application process, applicants must pay the application fees. The application fee varies according to the categories. The application fee for the KSET examination is as follows:

Before applying for the exam, candidates must ensure that they fulfil the following KSET eligibility in terms of their age, qualification, experience, etc.  Candidates must ensure they meet the KSET 2025 eligibility criteria, which include a Master’s degree with 55% (50% for reserved categories). Those who do not meet these requirements will be disqualified.

There is no such age limit for the candidates to appear for the KSET examination. Candidates of all ages can apply.

Candidates must have completed a Masters degree. The general category candidates need to have at least 55% marks in masters degree and other category candidates need to have at least 50% marks in the masters degree

The Karnataka State Eligibility Test comprises two papers. The KSET paper pattern 2025 consists of two objective-type papers: Paper I (General Aptitude) and Paper II (Subject-specific), totaling 300 marks. The detailed KSET Exam Pattern highlighting the marking scheme, type of questions, sectional weightage, etc., is explained in the table below.

The KSET Eligibility Criteria does not specify an upper age limit to appear for the exam. However, candidates must fulfil other eligibility conditions to be eligible for this exam.

As per the KSET Eligibility Criteria, there is no limit on the number of times a candidate can attempt this examination.

The basic educational qualifications to appear in the KSET examination for various categories are given below.

• Candidates who are in their final year must produce their certificate within the time period of 2 years from the date of publication of KSET results.
• All the candidature are provisional in nature and if the exam conducting body found anything wrong their candidature will be canceled
• Candidates belonging to the reserved category (SC/ST/OBC), who are not from Karnataka state will be treated as General Candidate only.
• Candidates having a post-graduate diploma or certificate awarded by a recognized Indian University or Institute or foreign degree/diploma/certificate awarded by the foreign University/ Institute should certify the equivalence of their diploma/degree/certificate with the Masters degree recognized by Indian universities from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi.

• KSET qualified candidates will be governed by the rules and regulations set by the concerned Universities / Colleges / Institutions (Government/ Aided /Private) of Karnataka State.
• Candidates, who have successfully passed any one of the NET/SET/SLET exams are exempted under UGC governance.
• Candidates who have successfully passed any one of the UGC-NET/CSIR JRF examinations on or before 1989 are exempted from KSET examination.
• Candidates who have successfully passed the State Eligibility Test on or before 01 June 2002 are also exempted from KSET 2020 examination.
• All the exceptions from the NET/SET/SLET examination will be governed by the regulations and amendments of UGC.
