JK Bank Apprentice Exam Details 2026

The salary of a J&K Bank Apprentice is provided in the form of a fixed monthly stipend of ₹13,500/-. Selected candidates who qualify the Written Examination are recruited on probationary basis for a 1 year Training Period. During the training period, Apprentices are offered ₹9,000 from the bank and ₹1,500 via government DBT under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961. Note that JK Bank Apprentices do not receive any additional perks, allowances or benefits from the Bank apart from their fixed monthly salary.

The JK Bank Apprentice Salary per month is ₹13,500, including ₹9,000 from the bank and ₹4,500 via Direct Benefit Transfer from the government. This is a consolidated stipend, meaning there are no deductions like PF or tax. In addition to this monthly stipend, apprentices receive up to ₹1,250 as conveyance support.

JK Bank Apprentices do not receive any perks or allowances during the Training Period unlike regular Bank employees. However, they receive certain basic provisions apart from the monthly stipend as given below:

• Monthly stipend of ₹13,500
• Conveyance allowance up to ₹1,250 per month
• On-the-job training in bank branches
• Certification after completion of apprenticeship

The Training Period of JK Bank Apprentice is 12 months. During this 1-year training period, apprentices will work in their allotted bank branch under supervision. Candidates must note that the Apprenticeship program is contract based, and there is no guarantee of permanent employment after completion.

Note the following points about salary and job profile of a J&K Bank Apprentice:

• JK Bank Apprentices will NOT receive any additional benefits like HRA, DA, or medical facilities like regular Bank employees during the Training Period.
• The apprenticeship is purely training-based for 12 months, where candidates are treated as trainees, not employees. There is no guarantee of permanent job after completion, and the bank has no obligation to offer employment.
• Apprentices work during standard banking hours i.e., from 10 AM to 5 PM.
• During this training period, apprentices will be entitled for only 12 days of casual leave.
• In case an apprentice is absent from the Training for more than 30 days (including 12 days of Casual Leave), his/ her contract will be terminated by the Bank without any notice.
