INET In-Hand Salary
As discussed earlier, the INET (Officers) salary differs from rank to rank.. However, several allowances are given for each month along with the basic salary. The culmination of basic salary and allowances becomes the monthly in-hand salary of the Indian Navy employees.
INET Salary Slip
After every payment cycle, the officers receive their salary slip of the previous month’s salary. This salary slip document contains all the details of the previous month’s deductions and allowances for each officer in Indian Navy. There are other applications for the INET salary slip such as; using it to avail loans and while filling your annual Income Tax form.
INET Probation Period
Candidates will be inducted as officers in the rank of Sub Lieutenant. Officers of all branches / cadres except the officers of IT will undergo 22 Weeks Naval Orientation Course whereas officers of SSC (IT) will undergo 04 Weeks Naval orientation Course at the Naval Academy, Ezhimala. This will be followed by professional training in Naval Ships and Training Establishments as per extant regulations

INET Computer Based Examination
The shortlisting of candidates for the SSB Interview will take place through the INET(Officer) examination. The Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET) is a computer-based written examination. The exam consists of four different sections namely English, General Knowledge, Reasoning & Numerical Ability, General Science & Mathematical Aptitude. Each section will carry 100 marks. Candidates need to qualify every section by scoring at least 40% marks. The exam will consist of multiple-choice questions only. The candidates will be selected for the SSB interview on the basis of INET rank cum preference & choice. The shortlisted candidates will be informed through their registered email ID and contact number regarding their selection.

INET Physical Fitness Test 2021
The candidates who clear the up to the set physical standards will be eligible for the next round that is the Physical Fitness Test. In this stage, candidates will be put to a physical test. The conducting body will test if they’re fit enough for the post by conducting a running race. The details of the test are as follows.

INET Review Medical Examination (RME) 2021
Candidates declared Temporary unfit during Medicals in the recruitment medical examination can avail specialist review from the specified Military Hospital within a maximum period of 21 days. No further review/ appeal is permissible. Those candidates who are declared Permanent Unfit during Medicals can appeal for specialist opinion in a Military Hospital on payment of Rs 40 by Military Receivable Order (MRO) in the Government Treasury within 21 days. Medical fitness certificates other than that of the specialist opinion in the designated Military Hospital will NOT be considered. This whole process is generally completed on the same day but it may also take 3-4 days depending on the service requirements or due to unforeseen contingencies.
General Grounds for Rejection during SSC GD Medical Examination
Candidates having any disease/ deformity as mentioned under will lead to rejection. Details are as under:

Cases of Varicose veins, even if operated, are not to be accepted because the basic defect remains unchanged. <br> Any evidence of implants in situ anywhere in the body will lead to rejection. <br> In females, the carrying angle of more than 20º will lead to rejection on the ground of cubitus valgus. <br> Gynaecomastia. <br> Per speculum and Per Vaginal examination are not to be performed in an unmarried candidate; however, inspection of genitalia is to be done to rule out any obvious pathology. <br> Evidence of major abnormalities or defects of the genitalia such as change of sex, hermaphroditism, pseudohermaphroditism, or gonadal dysgenesis or dysfunctional residuals even after surgical correction of these conditions is disqualifying. <br> If urine test for pregnancy is positive the candidate will be declared temporary unfit and will be re-examined 6 weeks after the pregnancy is over, either naturally or artificially, subject to the production of a medical certificate of fitness from a registered medical practitioner. <br> Evidence of ovarian cyst or fibroid uterus or any other lump is disqualifying. <br> Evidence of pelvic inflammatory disease is disqualifying. <br> Congenital absence of uterus or enlargement due to any cause is disqualifying. <br> Past medical history of diseases or injury of the spine or sacroiliac joints, either with or without objective signs which have prevented the candidate from following a physically active life. <br> History of spinal fracture/ prolapsed intervertebral disc and surgical treatment. | Conditions detected radiologically during the medical exam |

A candidate should be able to hear a forced whisper with each ear at a distance of 610 cms. in a quiet room. There should be no evidence of present or past disease of the ear, nose and throat. Audiometric tests will be done for AF. Audiometric loss should not exceed +20 dB in frequencies between 250 Hz and 4000 Hz. There is no impediment of speech. <br> There should be no signs of functional or organic disease of the heart and blood vessels. Blood pressure should be normal. <br> There should be no enlargement of liver or spleen. Any evidence of disease of internal organs of the abdomen will be a cause for rejection. <br> Unoperated hernias will make a candidate unfit. A candidate should be able to hear a forced whisper with each ear at a distance of 610 cms. in a quiet room. There should be no evidence of present or past disease of the ear, nose and throat. Audiometric tests will be done for AF. Audiometric loss should not exceed +20 dB in frequencies between 250 Hz and 4000 Hz. There is no impediment of speech. <br> There should be no signs of functional or organic disease of the heart and blood vessels. Blood pressure should be normal. <br> There should be no enlargement of liver or spleen. INET Stage 1 Syllabus 2021
The INET Stage 1 will comprise an Online examination. The online examination will be conducted for 400 marks. The time duration for the computer based examination will be 120 minutes. The syllabus for the online examination is given below.
