GSET Eligibility 2025
The GSET Eligibility Criteria are defined in terms of the applicants age, qualifications, nationality, etc. Those who do not fulfil these criteria will be disqualified from appearing for the exam. In the following section, we have detailed the GSET Eligibility for your reference.
GSET Age Limit
Candidates willing to take the upcoming Gujarat State Eligibility Test (GSET) 2025 becomes confused whether they are eligible or not for the exam. No worries! As the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara has not set any age limit for the exam. Candidates must note that there is no upper age limit to apply for the GSET 2025 examination.

GSET Educational Qualification
As per the GSET Eligibility requirements, candidates should have completed a Masters Degree from a recognized university, with at least 55% aggregate.
NOTE: Candidates who are in their final year of their Masters degree and are waiting for the results can also apply for the GSET Exam.
5% Relaxation in the Master’s Degree Percentage is given to the following categories:
- SEBC-NCL/ SC/ ST/ PH/ VH/ Transgender category candidates.
- The Ph.D. degree holders whose Masters level assessment had been finished by nineteenth September 1991 (regardless of the date of the statement of result) will be qualified for an unwinding of 5% in qualifying marks.
- Candidates who have completed a Masters Degree OR an equivalent examination in Humanities (including languages) and Social Science, Computer Science & Applications, and Sciences from universities/institutions recognised by the UGC are eligible to take this test.
- 55 percent for general / general-EWS candidates
- Candidates in the SEBC (Non-Creamy Layer) / Visually Handicapped / ST / SC / PwD / Transgender categories will receive a 50% discount.

GSET Nationality
The GSET eligibility requires candidates applying for the examination should be a Resident of India.
GSET Number of Attempts
There is no restriction on the number of attempts to be made for the GSET Exam . Candidates can apply multiple times if eligible. However, a candidate who has qualified GSET in one subject cannot apply for the exam in same subject again.
Experience for GSET Eligibility
No years of experience are needed for the GSET Exam. Candidates after postgraduation can apply for this exam if the fulfil all other GSET eligibility requirements.
