Age Limit
The minimum age limit has not been prescribed by the FCI for any of the posts under the FCI Assistant Grade III job profile. However, the maximum age limit is 27 years for the unreserved category. The candidates who fall in the reserved category shall be eligible for age relaxation equal to the number of years mentioned below.

Educational Qualification

Nationality
The FCI Assistant Grade III examination shall be held across the country. Hence, there is no limitation to state-based domicile. The candidates should have the proper documents that prove their Indian citizenship.
Maximum Attempts
The maximum attempts have not been notified by the competent authorities for the profile of FCI Assistant Grade III job profile. This means they can write the examination as long as they wish to.

Annual Package for FCI Assistant Grade III 2024
FCI Assistant Grade III Salary is on a pay scale of Rs. 28,200 – Rs. 79,200 (revised pay). Along with that, employees can get earned leaves on which some terms and conditions are applied by the corporation. The annual package of FCI AG-III is around INR 4-10 Lakhs per annum.
This pay scale remains the same in all the zones for Assistant Grade III. However, the pay scale is subject to variation by the corporation. Candidates are advised to refer only to the official website for detailed information pertaining to the present FCI Assistant Grade III Salary.
FCI Assistant Grade III In-Hand Salary
All the employees serving in any of the four services under Assistant Grade III, irrespective of their zones shall be entitled to a basic salary of Rs. 28,200 - Rs. 79,200 along with other benefits like earned leaves, travel benefits, medical charges etc.
FCI Assistant Grade III Perks and Additional benefits
As FCI is a Public Sector entity, thus the selected employees shall be provided with several additional perks and benefits offered by the Central Government. To avail the benefits and perks, candidates have to complete the probation period successfully, which is of 1-year duration and only then will the employees be eligible for the allowances.

- Free Transport facilities - Including boarding and lodging especially during official events are also provided
- Conveyance allowance - Is offered during official duties as well as in the form of fuel expenses.
- Medical charges – For treatment availed for injuries suffered during the official duty.
- Insurance benefits – Health insurance and medical insurance benefits along with life insurance.
- House rent allowance – Available as per the scale and eligibility of the employee.
- Ex Gratia grant – In case of the death of the employee to help the survivors support themselves financially.
FCI Assistant Grade III Probation Period 2024
After being appointed as an employee under FCI, candidates have to complete a probation period of 1 year. And after that, all the other benefits and perks will be provided. The corporation can remove any employee during the probation period if the candidate does not obey the rules and will be termed guilty of any misconduct during the job. The corporation will issue an official termination notice 30 days before the removal of the employee. So, it is advisable that all the new recruitments should go through the section of “Misconduct” given in the official notification of the Food Corporation of India to understand all the guidelines.

FCI Exam Pattern 2026 Phase I and II
The FCI Manager Exam 2026 is conducted to recruit candidates for managerial posts. The selection process has two main phases: Phase 1 and Phase 2. Each phase has different subjects, marks, and time limits.
