- A four-year integrated degree course from the Regional College of Education of NCERT or another NCTE-recognized institution in the concerned subject.
- Bachelors Honors Degree in the concerned subject. The candidate should have studied the requisite subjects for at least 2 years in the 03 years degree course.
- Bachelor’s Degree in the concerned subject. The candidate should have studied the requisite subjects in all three years of the degree course.

To be eligible for the EMRS TGT 2025 Recruitment examination, a candidate
- Must be an Indian citizen
- A subject of Nepal, Bhutan
- A Tibetan refugee who came to visit India before 1st January 1962, aiming to settle in India permanently
- Migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam to permanently settle in India.
