Note:
(i) The candidate's age should not be greater than 55 as of 23.10.2025 (closing date of application), weighing every relaxation or concession in a specific situation.
(ii) All the concessions mentioned above will be concurrent i.e. If a person is eligible for more than one concession, only one of the concessions of the highest permissible limit, will be granted.
(iii) Non-permanent teaching staff working in EMRSs as on01/07/2025 shall be eligible for age relaxation up to 55 years including all relaxations. There will not be any relaxation in the minimum EMRS Lab Attendant eligibility criteria for the post they wish to apply for.
Education Qualification
Candidates aspiring to become Lab Attendants in the Eklavya Model Residential Schools must meet the EMRS Lab Attendant educational qualifications specified by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs. Candidates must be 10th Class Pass with a certificate/diploma in Laboratory technique OR 12th Class with science stream from a recognized board/university.
Number of Attempts
The EMRS Lab Attendant exam usually does not have a set limit on the number of retakes. When applying and taking the exam, qualified candidates may do so as often as necessary until they reach the oldest age permitted for that recruitment. However, applicants must fulfill the requirements for each attempt, and a fresh application is needed for every round of hiring process.
