CISF ASI Eligibility 2024
To be eligible for the CISF Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) position, candidates must meet several criteria. The age limit for departmental candidates appearing through Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) is a maximum of 35 years, while for stenographers, it is 18 to 25 years, with certain relaxations for specific categories. Educationally, candidates must have completed Intermediate or Senior Secondary School Level (Class 12th) from a recognized university. Only Indian citizens can apply. There is no limit on the number of attempts as long as the candidates meet the upper age limit. No prior experience is required for eligibility.

CISF ASI Age Limit
For the CISF Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) position, the age limit varies based on the type of recruitment. For candidates applying through the Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE), the maximum age limit is 35 years. For the stenographer position, the age range is 18 to 25 years. There are specific age relaxations provided for certain categories as per government norms, allowing those candidates to apply even if they fall outside the standard age limits.
CISF ASI Age Relaxation
However, certain age relaxations are expected to be provided to candidates belonging to the reserved categories.
- For SC/ST candidates, the upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years, which means such candidates can apply till the age of 30 years.
- For OBC candidates, the upper age limit is relaxable by 3 years, which means such candidates can apply till the age of 28 years.
- For Departmental candidates with 3 years of continuous service in Central Government, the upper age limit will be 40 years for General/EWS/OBC and 45 years for SC/ST.
- For children and family members of victims killed in the 1984 riots and communal riots of 2002 Gujarat, 5 years relaxation to UR/EWS, 8 years to OBC, 10 years to SC/ST.
- For Ex-Servicemen, 3 years relaxation after the deduction of military service rendered.
- For candidates who want to apply for the Departmental (LDCE) vacancies, the upper age limit is 35 years.

CISF ASI Educational Qualification
Candidates are expected to possess the educational qualifications mentioned under the CISF ASI Eligibility . The educational qualification required is Intermediate/ Senior Secondary School (Class 12th) from any recognized board or institution in India. Also, note that the reference date will be the closing date of the receipt of online application.

CISF ASI Nationality

CISF ASI Number of Attempts
There is no boundaries on the number of attempts. The candidates are expected to attempt CISF ASI Exam until he/she meets the prescribed age limit .

Note:
- In a right-handed person, the right eye must be the better eye and vice versa. Binocular Vision is required
- Candidates must not possess knock knee, flat foot squint in eyes, or varicose vein They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties
- Detailed Medical Examination shall be conducted during the recruitment process as per Revised Medical Guidelines issued by MHA vide UO No. A.VI-1/2014-Rectt(SSB) dated 20.05.2015 and other related instructions issued by higher formation from time to time
CISF ASI Skill Test
Below are the details for the CISF ASI expected Eligibility Skill test for Stenographer:
- Dictation: 10 minutes @ 80 words per minute.
- Transcription time: 50 minutes in English and 65 minutes in Hindi on computer.
