What Educational Qualification is Required for CGPSC AE?
Candidates must satisfy the educational qualification laid down by CGPSC to apply for the post and be a part of the recruitment process. The following are the academic criteria required by the candidate for the post of Assistant Engineer.
- Candidate must have a degree in B.E./ B.Tech in Civil/ Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering from a recognized university, or
- The candidate should be an Associate Member of the Institution Managers.
Nationality for CGPSC AE Recruitment
As per the CGPSC AE eligibility criteria, the candidate must be of Indian nationality; otherwise, they would not be allowed to apply for the post of Assistant Engineer. Applicants must also have some form of documentation that would prove their nationality as an Indian.

CGPSC Syllabus 2026 for Prelims Exam
The CGPSC Prelims exam is divided into 2 Papers – Paper I which is a General Studies Test and Paper 2, which is an Aptitude Test.
