BSF Tradesman Age Relaxation
According to the official notification for the BSF Tradesman recruitment 2025, there are some category-wise age relaxation criteria for the candidates. The following table includes the BSF Tradesman age relaxation:

- Candidates should be aware that the BSF will only accept the Date of Birth listed on the Matriculation/Secondary Examination certificate or an equivalent certificate to determine an applicant's age; any subsequent requests to have this information changed will not be taken into consideration.

BSF Tradesman Documentation
- All the relevant documents must be carried by candidates at the time of documentation in both original and photocopy form. All certificates/testimonials related to the candidates' identity verification, date of birth, name, qualification, caste (including an OBC certificate in accordance with the list of OBCs, SCs, and STs maintained by the government of India), and domicile must be confirmed.
- Caste certificate must be acknowledged by the Central Government and listed in the Central List of reserve categories of the GOI for the candidate seeking a reservation or age relaxation.

BSF Tradesman Trade Test

BSF Tradesman Detailed Medical Examination
Candidates who qualify for all the stages mentioned above of the recruitment process—the written examination, the physical test PST,& PET, documentation, and the trade test will then undergo a Detailed Medical Examination (DME), which will be conducted by the Medical Board of Officers to evaluate their physical and medical fitness.
Applicants must successfully complete each step of the third-phase exam one at a time. Any applicant who does not pass any examination stages will be disqualified from consideration for employment.
Candidates with Tattoos will be evaluated based on the following instructions:
- Content
As a secular nation, we must respect the religious beliefs of our citizens, hence tattoos depicting religious symbols or figures as well as the name used by the Indian Army are acceptable.
- Location
Tattoos marked on traditional sites of the body such as the inner aspect of the forearm but only the left forearm, being the non-saluting limb or dorsum of the hands are the only kind of tattoos that are permitted.
- Size
Size of the tattoo must be less than ¼ on the specific part (Elbow or Hand) of the body.
Note:
- If an applicant has their tattoo(s) removed before the recruitment process and they have significantly faded, this will be considered a "scar" rather than a tattoo. With the recruiting board's presiding officer's consent, such candidates will be allowed to participate in the complete BSF Tradesman selection process. Also, the Medical Board of Officers will analyze the scar left behind by tattoo removal during the detailed Medical Examination.
- If a female applicant is found to be pregnant for at least 12 weeks by testing, she will be temporarily deemed unfit and her appointment will be postponed until the pregnancy is ended
BSF Tradesman Medical Test
