Candidates applying for the Bihar STET exam must check if they fulfil the stated requirements in terms of their age, qualification, etc. Those who do not meet these requirements will be disqualified. Key points to note about the Bihar STET Eligibility are:
- The age limit for this exam 21 to 37 years. Relaxation in the Bihar STET upper age limit are allowed for reserved category applicants.
- For Secondary Teachers candidates with B.Ed. with Bachelor's degree are eligible.
- For Senior Secondary Teachers, candidates with Post-Graduation and B.Ed. can apply.

Bihar STET 2026: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) will release the notification for Bihar State Teacher Eligibility Test (BSTET) on its official website for Paper 1 and Paper 2. The notification will be released for BSEB Bihar STET Result at bsebstet.com and biharboardonline.com. Paper I is meant for teaching Classes 9 and 10, and Paper II is designed for teaching Classes 11 and 12. The Bihar STET 2026 certificate distribution process is also being initiated at the district level, where candidates will be presented with certificates after document verification on the scheduled date. This process is being conducted in districts like Khagaria and Gopalganj, as directed by the Education Department. Candidates are required to carry their admit card and photo ID. STET Bihar 2026 Application Form
The online application form is available on the official website of the Bihar School Examination Board at secondary.biharboardonline.com, bsebstet.com and biharboardonline.com. Candidates had one day to fill out the form using their Application Number and Date of Birth. All required details, such as personal, educational, and eligibility had to be entered accurately as per official guidelines.
Steps to Fill STET Bihar 2026 Application Form
In order to appear for the BSEB STET exam, the aspirants need to submit the application form through online mode. The process has been explained in detail below below. The application process is divided in 3 stages: registration, filling the form and payment.
Step 1: Register for Bihar Secondary Teachers Eligibility Test
Go to https://secondary.biharboardonline.com/ and https://biharboardonline.com/ and register. Applicants can register by filling in the relevant information and then click on the Generate OTP option. Then candidates need to enter the OTP to complete the registration process. User ID and Password will be provided to the applicant's registered mobile via SMS.
Step 2: Fill Out the Bihar STET Application Form
Login using the credentials provided during registration. Carefully fill out the Bihar STET Application Form. Few boxes will be pre-filled the rest the candidates need to enter.
Step 3: Upload the Required Documents
Upload the scanned copies of the photograph and signature. The photograph should be the latest and the background should be white or light coloured.
Step 4: Pay the Application Fee
The candidates can finally submit the Bihar STET application form online after paying the application fee. The payment can be done through Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking/ UPI.
Step 5: Uploading of Certificates
The candidates need to upload self-attested copies of the documents asked in the application form like marks sheets, caste certificate, etc.
Bihar STET 2026 Registration Fees
The application fee is dependent on the papers for which the candidate is applying. If a general category applicant is appearing for Paper I or Paper II, the fee will be Rs. 960 and if he/she wishes to appear for both papers, the fees will be Rs. 1440/-. The concessions for the reserved categories are mentioned in the table given below.

Bihar STET Qualifying Marks: Check Cutoff Marks
The board has set the qualifying marks (cut-off percentage) according to category-based criteria. To be eligible for the certificate, candidates must secure the minimum percentage in their respective category.
- General - 50%
- Backward Class (BC) - 45.5%
- Extremely Backward Class (EBC) - 42.5%

Bihar STET Certificate 2026
BSEB issues the Bihar STET Certificate to all candidates who qualify for the exam. The certificate is digital and carries lifetime validity. It is a must-have document while applying for teacher recruitment under the Bihar government. Candidates can download it from the BSEB portal after the result declaration. The certificate confirms the candidate’s eligibility to teach Classes 9–12 in government schools.

STET Bihar Salary 2026
- For secondary teachers, State Bihar salary starts at Rs. 44,900, which, with a grade salary of Rs. 4,200, total Rs. 50,000- to 55,000 per month.
- For senior secondary teachers, it starts at ₹ 47,600, with a salary of Rs. 4,800, for a total of Rs. 52,000- 58,000 monthly. Salary includes DA, HRA, and other government allowances.
Bihar STET Cut-Off Marks 2026
The Bihar STET Cut-Off Marks is the minimum qualifying scores set by the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) that candidates must secure to be considered eligible for selection as teachers in secondary and higher secondary schools across the state.
