AOC Fireman Exam Details 2026

The AOC Fireman annual package for 2024 is expected to range between INR 2.38 lakh to 7.58 lakh, in line with the 7th Pay Commission. In addition to the basic pay, candidates will be entitled to allowances such as Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, medical reimbursements, travel allowance, and Provident Fund, which may slightly affect the final package depending on internal parameters.

The candidates who get selected for the post, the pay scale for them will be around INR 19900 to 63200/- per month. The candidates are also entitled to receive various allowances along with the basic pay which will be mentioned in the offer letter provided by the Army Ordnance Corps (AOC).

The AOC Fireman eligibility criteria for 2024 require candidates to be between 18 to 25 years old and have completed matriculation from a recognized board. Applicants must be Indian citizens and can apply as many times as they wish until they reach the maximum age limit. No prior experience is necessary for this position.

According to the previous recruitment notification, the age limit for the AOC Fireman post is between 18 to 25 years. This provision, however, is only applicable to candidates belonging to the unreserved category.

For candidates belonging to the reserved category, the recruitment board has provided age relaxation facilities across categories and guidelines to claim them. Age relaxation for each of the categories has been provided in the table given below:

It should be emphasised that age relaxation standards will not be enforced until all necessary papers have been thoroughly examined and verified. In order to claim age relaxation guidelines, candidates must exhibit and produce legitimate papers, including a caste certificate, during the AOC Fireman document verification phase or any future level of the recruitment process.

Candidates interested in applying for the post of AOC Fireman must also be aware of the required minimum educational qualification. As per the previous notification released by the recruitment board, candidates must have completed matriculation from a recognised board or university.
